I am not talking about the 30D or any of the 1D series, I am looking for a Full frame canon that can do what the 5D does, but I’ve read I shouldn’t buy the 5D now b/c it will be replaced soon… Last year, I bought the 20d and it was replaced within two months by the 30d… for just a few $$ more, I don’t want to repeat that this time.
Has anyone had any insider info?

Does this mean the computer won’t even read the new camera when it plugs in, or just that the software won’t work? The best value I can find is on ebay, an American camera store selling the body, 3 official canon lenses and lots of extras (bags, tripos, memory cards etc) for £1,200. I’m a bit unsure of getting such expensive items shipped from US though and will probably face excess customs charges on top of postage. Does anyone know of anywhere within the UK that does good deals on the 5d? I don’t mind it being second hand as long as it’s in good condition. Thanks.

This is part of a doc on dinosaurs I did and it was my first venture into DV editing back in 2001. I used a cheap consumer canon camera and a really cheap wirless mic to make it (you can hear the static).
The video was never finished because I lost the remaining of the footage in a crazy hard-drive crash in which it could not be recovered. I’m also in the video a few times too. So if you have 20 minutes to sit down and watch a first attempt at doc making then here’s your video..
